The installation company you use managed to figure out a way to charge me an additional $151.55 dollars for installation kits. And then charged me an additional $150.00 for what amounted to a six foot piece of perforated angle iron to lower the door rails. After they departed, I discovered that six feet of additional angle iron was in the original door opener packaging. I feel like the installers hid the fact that sufficient iron was included. A way you could improve my experience would be to refund the additional $150.00 charged for the unnecessary angle iron. The person that did the installation was nice enough but I feel he was part of the scheme. I wonât be getting anything else that might be installed by these installers again. Note that this was an online order and no Home Depot person ever discussed anything with me. A person delivered the boxes and left. Read less
Regardless of the material, you will likely need to perform some regular maintenance tasks. A garage door professional can examine common problem areas to ensure all are working as they should. Additionally, it is necessary to examine the integrity of the door itself, since your garage can be especially vulnerable to security issues if your door is not structurally sound.
"I am beyond pleased with the service that Adam provided. I contacted him late on a Friday evening, well after typical work hours, expecting not to hear from him until Monday morning. I was pleasantly surprised to have a message waiting for me on Saturday morning. He was inquisitive about our needs and most eager to answer any of my questions. He assured me that he would contact me early Monday morning, and he did. He came out promptly, assessed our needs, and he finished the job shortly thereafter...all in one day. Again, I am beyond thrilled! Best of luck to this company, we will be recommending them to anyone looking for garage door services."
Electric Garage Door Openers – Service and repair of the electric garage door opener itself, including the lift mechanism that pulls the door up and guides it down. This is typically not part of the garage door itself and is serviced and repaired on its own interval. Typical service includes inspection, repair, adjustment, and lubrication if needed. Also, we typically inspect the mounting of the unit as well as its attachment to the door itself.
Repair Sagging Garage Doors – As doors and homes age, they can shift and move and sometimes this results in a garage door that needs to be realigned or reinforced. We will send a technician to your home to adjust the doors and to inspect the entire opening to make sure the door isn’t damaged. Once we understand the problem, we will fix the needed parts and make any adjustments to the door.
Step 1: Check the metal tracks inside the garage. Look at the mounting brackets that hold the tracks to the walls. If they're loose, tighten the bolts or screws at the brackets. Working inside the garage with the garage door closed, examine the tracks for dents, crimps, or flat spots. If there are any damaged spots, pound them out with a rubber mallet, or with a hammer and a block of scrap wood. If the tracks are badly damaged, they should be replaced.
